 It's All About You

Sorry we missed January’s updates…we all made merry with family and friends and then “Uh Oh”ed in January…so without further adieu…

Happy New Year!!!  Some of us had a terrific 2009 but many of us had a challenging year.  Here’s to new beginnings and fresh starts in 2010!!

Thank you so much for your support during the holidays.  We’d also like to welcome back our winter visitors.  Come in and support your locally owned and operated independent scrapbook store.  We love to be able to serve you all but will only be able to continue to do so for years to come with your support.  We have some terrific travel paper, card making supplies and classes of all kinds to meet your scrapbooking and card-making needs.

We are starting a new Page of the Month series in January.  Each Page of the Month will specifically feature the given month.  You can take one month or all 12.  If you take the class every month you will have 24 12x12 layouts completed in December to celebrate the whole year.  This would make a great memento for the year or a gift to give in December.

It occurred to us that the great tips and tricks that Barbara shares with folks in the rookies series don’t necessarily apply only to beginners.  We have “tweeked” our rookies class and now call it a Techniques class to better serve all of you.  Join Barbara for one or all 3 of her classes.  The level 1 and 2 classes are offered twice a month and the level 3 class is offered once a month.

We also made adjustments to the Cricut/Expression series.  Cricut/Expression 101 is an “I just got it out of the box.” class.  Cricut/Expression 202 is “I’ve had this machine for a while and get the basic stuff…now what?”  class.  The Cricut Layering class will feature a different cartridge and/or image every month.  Each class will be offered once a month and will also include a demo/explanation of Sure Cuts A lot.

For February, we have brought back the Quilling class.  It is a new class featuring 3 new cards.  Barbara has gone above and beyond and you’ll just love them.  The class is offered only once in the month and is sure to fill up quickly so don’t delay in signing up.

There are some great projects including a 3 for 1 on the Project of the Month, some great Valentine’s/ Someone Special cards separate from the quilling cards and a nifty Jacob’s Ladder Crush Factor class.

Cards for Heroes through our monthly Card Swap.  Check out this month’s card swap theme and rules in our newsletter and class description on the calendar.

You can check out the Cards for Heroes website at http://cardsforheroes.org

If there is a class that you’d love to take and then find that it doesn’t fit your schedule, let us know.  We’ll do our level best to accommodate you.

Don’t forget to come into the store and find the mystery icon on the newsletter.  It is good for 40% off one item!

Friday & Saturday: 10:00-9:00 pm

We need YOUR continued help!

WATCH YOUR EMAILS AND BE PREPARED TO BE AMAZED!!!

As many of us know, the economy has hit everyone hard.  Small, local businesses are closing every month. So far, we have been able to stand strong!  Well, now we need your help!  With summer here, vacations planned and kids out of school, business in the store has come screaching to a slow trickle.  We are always working to provide new product, classes and events at reasonable prices.  But we can't keep up this slow pace.  We need business to pick up in a quick way, in the store!

I know that this may seem a little unconventional, however, many of you ask us all the time, "How are things going?", and telling us that you enjoy the store being part of the community.  We want to stay part of the community!!!  Well, you asked, and now we are asking you.

Throughout the rest of the year, we will be sending out emails with UNBELIEVEABLE SPECIALS AND INCENTIVES within them.  We ask that you do your best to participate in the specials and events so that we can continue to be part of the community.

Check your email NOW and Often!!!!  Also, please be sure to forward them to any other scrappers or card makers you know.

Thanks again for your continued support.
